There are not many affordable spaces on 14th Street anymore, rents on the ground floor are beginning to price out some of the more creative uses. My 2nd and 3rd floor space would be perfect for an espresso bar, yoga studio, speakeasy, or some other creative concept. The space gets a lot of natural light, with windows on three sides and has beautiful hard wood floors, a fire place, and exposed brick walls.
Plus, we might be able to create a large outdoor seating patio next to my building. DC needs more outdoor public space.
This property has been in my family for more than two generations. My father opened his office here starting in the early 1950s and would be blown away if he saw 14th Street today. Lustine Realty has been here throughout the ups and downs of 14th Street and we aim to continue to stay and do our share to help grow the neighborhood.
